I am a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering on a pre-med track. I am super excited to be part of an organization that lets me explore the meaning of art. Growing up, I would do graffiti on paper or doodle on the side of my homework. Little did I know, I would be getting an opportunity to be part of a creative outlet that lets students explore their passion to write, read, and draw among others! If I am not hauled up inside of a book on the fourth floor of the library, I’ll probably be adventuring around the city with my friends trying new food and visiting new sights! I am so excited to see the student body come together this year in this new “normal”. Looking forward to a great year filled with exciting events and magazine submissions!

I'm a senior majoring in English with a double minor in French and Management Information Systems. In my free time I like to write songs and poetry, and I joined RSR because I had loved running the literary magazine at my high school and wanted to continue to be a part of a literary magazine. I also love writing - hence the major in English - as well as photography, drawing, and embroidery, and being a part of RSR gives me the opportunity to both enjoy others’ work and do something with my own. Fun fact: I have a publication in the Newberry Library Archives!

I am a junior majoring in journalism and political science. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, I started off journaling my days away which soon became poems. I love to read, write, explore art galleries around the city, and if I'm being completely honest I've probably seen every movie and tv show out there. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing organization and can’t wait to see everyone at our events coming up soon!

I’m a senior studying Statistics and English, with a dash of Economic courses. I have a tendency to journal, write poems, play video games, and I recently got into working out so catch me at the rec at six in the morning. (I’m in pain.) Red Shoes lets me work as an editor and it feels nice. Writing has always been a hobby of mine along with gaming and reading, and being with RSR lets me dive deeper into the writing and the publishing world, which is something I thought I couldn’t really do. I really enjoy this magazine and I hope you all enjoy it too. A fun fact about me is that I have two astrology signs that contradict each other, apparently.

I’m a sophomore pursuing pre-nursing and during my freshman year, RSR was the only club I joined haha and I’m glad I stuck to it. I love anything and everything art especially our Open Mic Night event so I expect to see everyone there! :D A fun fact is I tried to start a sticker business this summer, but I got too lazy, so if you ever want to use a fancy sticker machine, you can come find me. On the side, I’m an aspiring Gordon Ramsay (with less cussing) and I recently picked up boxing (my bias is Muy Thai)! *insert fighting emoji*
